“Copa del Rey” is the first Big Trail motorcycling championship for amateur and adventurous riders , where they can share learning and experiences in a good atmosphere and camaraderie among motorcycle lovers.

This 2020 we will make the 3d edition of “ Copa del Rey Expo-race big-trail’’, considering 3 official date.
In addition to the competition, you can find the main brands and stores of the big-trail segment in a product exhibition fair with discounts and unique opportunities for that day.

For the public and pilots who attend with the family, we have a children´s sector, spectator´s area, rest area and food-trucks. Immersed in a family atmosphere , we invite you to enjoy the unique Expo-race big-trail in Chile and Latin America.

2020 EDITION

The 3rd CDR version will be held near Santiago, Chile.

 1st Date: August 29
Training: Saturday 22, Sunday 23 and Friday 28 August
(Circuit to be confirmed)

 2nd Date: October 17
Training: Saturday 10, Sunday 11 and Friday 16 October
(Circuit to be confirmed)

 3rd Date: November 14
Training: Saturday 7, Sunday 8 and Friday 13 November
(Circuit to be confirmed)

The circuits are made up of rural roads and trails, simulating various obstacles present in large off-road trips Adapted for all pilot levels.

COMPETITION

Requirements to participate:

 Class C license
 Clothing: Helmet - Boots – Gloves - Pants – T-shirt or Jacket


Characteristics:
  • 2 or 3 counterclockwise laps in a predetermined circuit of 7 km approx., where each pilot runs individually, in the most Dakar Rally style (running time: 20 to 30 min approx).
  • Start every 20 seconds
  • Race time measured through a transponder (device delivered by the organization)
  • The circuits are carried out in private areas, without using public roads

These are the categories in which you can run in the Copa del Rey Championship.
When you register you must indicate which one you want to belong to.
If you wish you can compete in more than one category (double registration has an additional cost in registration)

COUNT NOVICES

  • Pilots with little off-road experience
  • Beginners with little or no participation in Big-Trail activities
COUNT A:
From 1,290cc to 950cc
COUNT AA:
From 900cc to 650cc

PRINCE INTERMEDIATE

  • Intermediate pilots with wide off-road experience
  • Participation in classes and/or Big-Trail rides
PRINCE A:
From 1,290cc to 950cc
PRINCE AA:
From 900cc to 650cc

KING EXPERTS

  • Experienced non-professional pilots
  • A lot of off-road experience
  • Good handling technique
KING A:
From 1,290cc to 950cc
KING AA:
From 900cc to 650cc

QUEEN WOMEN

  • Non-professional women pilots with or without off-road experience.
QUEEN A:
From 1,290cc to 950cc
QUEEN AA:
From 900cc to 650cc

KING OF KINGS EXPERTS - PROFESSIONAL

  • Máximum Category in competition: Instructors, former pilots or current pilots
KING OF KINGS A:
From 1,290cc to 950cc
KING OF KINGS AA:
From 900cc to 650cc

DUKE MINI-TRAIL

  • Pilots with big-trail motorcycle models but low displacement
  • Such us: Benelli TRK 502 / LEONCINO / Suzuki VStrom 300 / Kawasaki Versys 300 / BMW GS 310 / etc.

A minimum of 5 pilots are required to open the A/AA categories.
Otherwise motorcycles from 650cc to 1290cc in a single category.
